VIDEO: Toyota G’s Aqua by Gazoo Racing, hot Prius c

Too cute not to share, this video. Our hero is Toyota’s cute little Aqua, known as the Prius c here. He’s a lovable little car, but our cute heroine isn’t really into cute cars and doesn’t bat an eyelid. She’s into sports cars. Nice T230 Celica spotted.

Downhearted, Aqua goes to G’s Gym to buff up and be a man. In the car gym, he goes through a rigorous training regime to build up muscle and sharpen his responses. It’s tough, and he’s on the verge of giving up, but an angel appears with a kiss of life.

Reinvigorated, Aqua finishes his training and emerges from the gym a different man. Now, looking sharp, he wins the attention of our lovely jogger. Hero gets the girl and drives into the sunset. Cheesy, but also pretty funny. And if you’re wondering like I did, yes the coach in G’s Gym is Kamui Kobayashi of F1 fame.

The video is to promote the new Toyota G’s Aqua, a sporty version of the hybrid hatch tuned by motorsports arm Gazoo Racing. It has a mean face with a massive grille incorporating horizontal chrome bars, LED fog lamps and boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. The headlamps are also LEDs.

Side skirts and “gills” on the front wings with “G’s” and “Hybrid” badges adorn the flanks. The rear end gets new tail lamp elements and a chunky bumper with a diffuser-style element. There’s a “G’s” emblem on the tailgate, too, but there are no visible tail pipes on this eco-friendly car. 17-inch five twin-spoke alloys (in grey or dual-tone) with 195/45 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyres complete the exterior package.

Inside, the G’s Aqua’s black cabin has sporty bits that include sports seats, piano black trim, red instead of blue for the gearknob and push start button (with G’s logo), faux leather with stitching on the dashboard, unique AC knob and aluminium pedals, among other things.

It’s not just looks, though. The gym work has yielded sports suspension with a 25 mm lower ride height, plus a range of underbody bracing and additional spot welding points to improve rigidity. Alas, there’s no increase in power – the Aqua is moved by a 1NZ-FXE 1.5 litre engine with 74 PS/111 Nm, assisted by an electric motor with 69 PS/169 Nm. A CVT gearbox sends power to the front wheels.

Only drive Toyota can wins ladies heart, those who are still single, don’t be shy. Just take your Toyota and fetch a girl, she could be your GF. For those who always talk bad about Toyota, is because they jealous couldn’t afford one.

I would doubt that statement. My first new car was a Corolla Hatchback and that did not draw any girl. And for same reason my wife does not object to me driving Toyota now. BTW toyota Hybrid really works. My previous fuel bill was 105 to 110 a week with a 2litre Accord down to current 60 to 65 a week with Camry Hybrid. but Prius C has to be CKDed to be worth buying.

    • You thought is a girl, but actually is an ‘Aqua’. So only those kinda guys will attract them. Real men go with passionate cars and real ladies.
