Still fresh from its unveiling at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show last month, the very low, very striking and very fast Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Spyder has landed in Malaysia. Official dealer Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur is now taking orders for the impossibly slim, topless Italian beauty, with production slated to start in April next year – the car you see here is a factory prototype used for previews.
The pièce de résistance here is that electrohydraulic folding fabric roof – available in either black, red or the brown shown here, it stows and deploys in just 17 seconds, at speeds of up to 50 km/h. You can also raise or lower the rear window, irrespective of the roof’s position.
Elsewhere, there’s a built-in duct to reduce cabin turbulence with the top down, as well as a pair of removable lateral wind guards are said to improve comfort by damping lateral aerodynamic pulsations, allowing for “conversations at high speeds.”
Under the aluminium and composite skin, the aluminium and carbon fibre hybrid structure makes the Huracan Spyder much stiffer than the previous Gallardo Spyder, with torsional rigidity up by 40%. Dry weight is quoted at 1,542 kg, 120 kg heavier than its coupé twin.
Mechanically, it’s all unchanged, so behind the driver resides a 5.2 litre naturally-aspirated, direct-injected V10, delivering 602 hp at 8,250 rpm and 560 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Drive is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling the Spyder to scorch from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds (just 0.2 seconds slower than the coupé), before maxing out at 324 km/h (only 1 km/h down).
Standard kit includes LED head- and tail lights, 20-inch Giano wheels, carbon-ceramic disc brakes (measuring 380 mm at the front, with six-piston callipers) and Lamborghini Infotainment System II, matched to an Audi-style 12.3 inch TFT LCD digital instrument cluster ahead of the driver. Buyers can also spec magnetorheological damper control and variable-ratio Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS).
Now, we all know the saying, “if you have to ask the price…” but just for formality’s sake, the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Spyder retails from RM1.35 million, excluding tax.

Damn…. no one can resist a slim, topless Italian beauty.
Bad journalism.
All the while paultan quoted the prices are “street price”
Why keep quoting the before tax price of Lambo in the heading?? This is not the first time… and the joke is getting sour…
Hi, that number (price excluding tax) is the only figure that Lamborghini announced.
Price aside, how do you then justify “Now in M’sia” when it is just a preorder?
Sorry if I don’t get the pun.
Nice comments
At RM1.35m, it suddenly looks like a good bargain! But wait…it says RM1.35m, excluding tax. DAMN! Don’t lah like that Jonathan! *punch*
Not the topless Italian I was expecting but it’ll do
