Ford launches new ST-Line range for Fiesta and Focus

Ford Fiesta ST Line 1

Ford has launched a new ST-Line range for the Fiesta and Focus, which forms the middle ground between the regular models and the full-blown ST versions. The ST-Line features styling inspired by the latter, and introduces revisions to the car’s chassis. In the UK, the Fiesta ST-Line is priced from 15,645 pounds sterling (RM93,374), while the Focus ST-Line starts from 20,595 pounds sterling (RM122,966).

On the exterior, the Fiesta ST Line gets a front bumper lip, whereas the Focus ST Line gets a bumper insert instead. The list of shared visual enhancements include 17-inch alloy wheels painted in Rock Metallic Grey, a honeycomb mesh design for the trapezoidal front grille, fog lamps with dark surrounds, a rear diffuser element and a large roof spoiler.

There is also a black beltline beneath the windows, side skirts and ST-Line badging on the front wings. Cabin upgrades include sport seats with red stitching and a perforated leather ST-style steering wheel with grey stitching. Elsewhere, there is a ST-style gear knob, new headliner and ST-Line scuff plates.

As for chassis improvements, both models now ride 10 mm lower due to the sport suspension. Engine choices are as per those available on the standard cars. For the Fiesta ST-Line, this includes the 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol three-pot in three tunes – 100 PS, 125 PS and 140 PS. A 95 PS 1.5 litre TDCi diesel is offered here too. All engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

The Focus ST-Line meanwhile, can be had with two petrol engines, a 1.0 litre EcoBoost (125 PS) and 1.5 litre EcoBoost, with the latter coming in two states of tune – 150 PS and 182 PS. Diesel choices include a 1.5 litre (120 PS) and 2.0 litre (150 PS) TDCi. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and six-speed auto (with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters).

    • Campro is one of the most unefficient engine based on today standard.
      It just lousy.
Damn noisy even in low rev city drive.
Giving me a feeling like in those diesel taxi n 80s.
Engine response is so coarse like sand paper.
A test drive basically will scare away all the potential buyer.
Go and drive inspira and preve you will understand.
