Hong Leong Yamaha Motor recalls Yamaha YZF-R25 in Malaysia over clutch pressure plate, oil pump issues

Yamaha_R25_02

Further to our report on the worldwide Yamaha recall for all YZF-R25 models manufactured between 2014 and 2016, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has issued an official recall notice on its website. The recall is for two issues – the clutch pressure plate assembly and the oil pump assembly.

The recall affects Yamaha YZF-R25 models with vehicle identification numbers (VIN) PMYRG151OE-000XXXX to PMYRG151OF-000XXXX as well as units with frame numbers PMYRG1510G-0004321 to PMYRG1510G-0006357. HLYM will be notifying owners of the affected YZF-R25s individually, beginning early August 2016.

Upon receipt of the notice, owners are requested to contact their nearest authorised Yamaha repair location to make an appointment for replacement of affected components. Yamaha YZF-R25 owners can contact HLYM via [email protected] or via Whatsapp at +6017-357 9965 if further details are required.

While HLYM has not mentioned exactly how many Malaysian YZF-R25 models are affected, it has reminded owners to ride and maintain their motorcycles in accordance with the instructions in the owner’s manual. In the meantime, HLYM has requested patience from local Yamaha YZF-R25 owners while it carries out the recall in stages by region.

    Basher logic:
If p1 got recall, no good coz no QC, kolos shop
If foreign overlord got recall, that’s good, take care of customers
If p1 got no recall, check p1 why no recall, dun take care of customers (even if airbags have no defects)
If foreign overlord got no recall, that’s good, quality very good, dun persoal
