The Renault Megane IV will be previewed in Malaysia soon, a few months after an example in GT guise was spotted back in July this year. For the official preview, TC Euro Cars will be showcasing the Megane GT, which was developed in conjunction with the Renault Sport division.
Highlights include more aggressive front and rear bumper designs, a rear diffuser with dual chrome exhaust exits, gunmetal 17-inch alloy wheels and darker exterior accents. The interior will likely feature sports seats, blue highlights and a unique steering wheel design as well.
Built on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s Common Module Family (CMF) vehicle architecture, the fourth-generation Megane is 64mm longer (4,359mm) and 25mm lower (1,447mm) than the third-generation Megane, and has a 28mm longer wheelbase (2,669mm).
The Megane GT also features 4Control four-wheel steering, Multi Change Down, which enables rapid downshifting on the Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) transmission, and launch control. The Multi-Sense system with five driving modes sees its Eco mode replaced with an R.S. Drive mode.
No details on what will power the Megane being previewed, but the GT variant is available in other markets with a choice of two petrol engines. The first is a 1.2 litre Energy TCe turbo four-cylinder from the Clio GT, but it’s been boosted to 130 PS and 205 Nm of torque. The other option is a 1.6 litre mill that outputs 205 PS and 280 Nm; both engines are paired with the EDC.

Renault spare part mahal gila. Buyer beware. Car maybe cheap but spare parts cost more than BMW.
Think carefully before you buy a Renault
I own a 2014 Clio RS and never found the spare parts to be more expensive than a Nissans.
danny boy-you obviously dont own a renault car by the trash your talking.
Yea.. looks nice. 1.6 hmm.. I thought it’s the 1.8.
What does GT signify ??! If its something to do with speed, only the 1.6 litre 205 PS/280 Nm with EDC fits to be called a GT. In the looks department, the overall package are 2nd to none.
With 4Control 4-wheel steering, Multi-Sense system & 5 driving modes, U have set a benchmark for technologies in this segment. Hope U sell well & all the best.
No wonder they’re having a huge promo on the Fluence – they’re clearing up stocks for the new Megane!
Beautiful car, the 1.6t would be a nice warm hatchback.
I drive at Clio GT line and maintainence is not an issue. Costs are not that high either. Service is exemplary.
pricing will be Rm150k-ish range?
