The 2017-2018 season of the Formula 4 SEA championship will culminate in a finale at the Sepang International Circuit from April 13-15 this year, with Petron Malaysia as the official fuel and engine oil partner for the junior single-seater championship in the region. The F4 SEA series uses Petron’s Blaze Racing engine oil and Blaze 100 RON fuel exclusively, said Formula 4 SEA promoter Peter Thompson.
Supporting the Malaysia Championship Series (MCS), the F4 SEA championship goes into the season finale with six races across the three-day race weekend, and will be contested by Malaysian drivers Nazim Azman, Isyraf Danish, Arsh Johanny and Armand Johanny.
To recap, Formula 4 SEA is the Asian regional championship of the FIA F4 single-seater race format which is licensed to race in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Vietnam, Cambodia and Taiwan. Parity is the name of this game; all cars are identical, FIA-homologated chassis with identical engines, while Meritus GP is the sole race engineering service provider. All participating teams have access to all historic driver and team data.
“I’m looking forward to the final round which will be extremely competitive. All the drivers on the grid will have the same thoughts on their minds, everyone will be aiming to win or at least make the podium,” said Nazim Azman.
