BMW Concept X7 iPerformance coming to Malaysia – display at Bangsar Shopping Centre from July 18-22

Later this month, BMW Malaysia will share another glimpse of its vision of modern luxury with the premiere of the Concept X7 iPerformance in Kuala Lumpur, which is being teased with the photo above. The SUV show vehicle will be on display at the Bangsar Shopping Centre from July 18-22, a few months after the Concept 8 Series made an appearance at the BMW Luxury Excellence Pavilion.

First unveiled in September last year, the Concept X7 serves as a preview of a new flagship SUV model that sits above the X5. The production version of the X7 (known internally as the G07) will only be revealed later this year, with the German carmaker already building the SUV at its plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

In concept form, the SUV sports large, vertical kidney grilles that are flanked by laser headlights with blue X signatures within (a cue also seen on the Concept 8 Series). There’s also the brand’s familiar Air Breathers on the sides, J-shaped LED taillights and 23-inch wheels.

The large size of the Concept X7 gives it a rather spacious interior that has a 2-2-2 seating arrangement. A mix of premium materials, ambient lighting, full-featured displays and numerous entry points for natural light help to emphasis the luxurious ambitions the concept is aiming for.

According to preliminary details, the actual X7 set to go on sale will measure 5,100 mm long, 2,020 mm wide, 1,800 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 3,010 mm. It will ride on the CLAR (Cluster Architecture) platform with a selection of six- and eight-cylinder engines distributed across variants like the M50d, xDrive40i, xDrive50i and xDrive30d.

Yet, Mercedes and BMW are still considered as premium brands in those countries. Meaning not just anyone can afford to own them aka they definitely doesn’t cost peanuts so stop with the lies. Even in “expensive” Malaysia, Mercs and BMWs are common sights. There are people whining that these cars are too expensive in those countries. In the end, they only whines and never do anything to make themselves afford these cars.
