2019 Audi Q3 teased before official debut on July 25

Audi has begun teasing the arrival of the second-generation Q3, which is set to make its global debut on July 25. The attached video here provides a few glimpses of the new crossover which will go up against rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1 and Volvo XC40.

Based on what we are shown, many of the cues seen on sighted test mules will be present on the production version. This includes the sharper Singleframe grille that are flanked by angular headlamps that bear distinct DRL signature lighting, with large faux inlets in the corner of the front bumper.

Elsewhere, the Q3 will feature muscular fenders and a prominent line that runs just above the door handles. Unlike the first-generation model, the new one will also have its side mirrors mounted further down rather than close to the A-pillars.

Referring to our spyshots, the Q3’s shape won’t be a huge departure from the current model, with elements like the taillights being updated to match the contemporary tone of recent Audi introductions.

No shots of the new car’s interior, but we’ve already seen the brand’s virtual cockpit instrument display, a large touchscreen, conventional climate and the latest steering wheel design on one of the test mules.

The usual mix of petrol and diesel engines should be offered for the Q3, with quattro all-wheel drive available as an option. Expect the crossover to ride on the MQB platform like many of its siblings, with the possibility of hybrid variants arriving later on.

The Tiguan & Q3 are both built on the same PQ35 platform. Becoz of this, some say this Audi Q3 is a glorified VW Tiguan.

Well, if U want an upmarket brand, U are welcome to pay more for an Audi or U are welcome to pay less for a VW brand that is an accomplish German engineered SUV.

Either way, both are from the vast VW Group of companies. The only difference I can see is in the engine where U can have a more powerful engine when U opt for an Audi.
