We might still in the midst of Ramadan, but doubtless many families will already be looking forward to the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festivities. But with that comes the inevitable problem – what car is going to fit all your relatives and all the odds and ends you’ll need to bring on your balik kampung trip?
For this particular pair of brothers, salvation comes in the form of the new Ford Ranger 2.0L Wildtrak 4×4, the range-topping variant of the mainstream (read: non-Raptor) Ranger family. In fact, it’s powered by the same engine as the Raptor – a 2.0 litre Bi-Turbo four-cylinder diesel that produces 213 PS and 500 Nm of torque, paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive with a locking rear differential.
Other standout features include a novel Easy Lift Tailgate and the SYNC 3 infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The Wildtrak 4×4 also gets advanced safety features including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and semi-autonomous parallel parking assist – features that are all firsts in the pick-up truck segment.
But how do all these features help Iz and Baby to salvage their Raya holidays? Watch as our man Hafriz Shah extol the virtues of each in this lighthearted video, which you can watch above. Enjoy!

This would be a great buy for me to balik kampung. I can show my kampung that I am kaya.
They should feature Proton Arena ute instead.
But Arena already game over long ago
My abah at kampong say Arena and Juara are happening cars in kampong. Drive either always can dapat awek.
Syukurlah saya boleh balik kampung dengan bergaya. Anak pun beramai, senang bawak semua!
Don’t forget to load up with musang king and rambutan when returning to city after raya kaya OK.
All Ford cars got no RV. Buy this Raya RM140k, next Raya sell, get RM70k also lucky
Ford got more power but gearbox always rosak. Better I go for Hilux or Triton, less power but gearbox never rosak.
No point so much of power but have to pay RM20k for gearbox.
Good truck but parts still must wait 3 months. For 3 months must take Grab. Shah Alam to KL return is RM100 per day. 90 days is RM9k gone.
No thank you
I buy Ford Ranger several months ago. After service no problem. Before that, I just sold off my Hyundai Santa Fe that I bought since 2015 and there are so many problems about my Hyundai Santa Fe. First, when comes to service, I have to wait for Hyundai parts for few months later. Also, Hyundai parts got lots of recalls. That is why I buy Ford but not going back to Hyundai anymore
Lol which import car parts don’t need to wait for months to arrive?
You must be a Toyota hilat fan..you do know hilat is made in Malaysia right?
Each time i go balik kampung. My Opah dont fancy riding in my Pikap trak coz she gotta climb in and out of it, cumbersome for the elderly.
LOL awesome production there.. funny as hell!
Best video paultan.org made over the years. It really made me laugh and understand the great features of the car
I lv Ford… King of the corner…
