2019 Moto Guzzi V85 TT in Malaysia, from RM87,888

Launched at the Rimba Valley Motor Camp in Janda Baik, the 2019 Moto Guzzi V85 TT adventure touring motorcycle is now in Malaysia. Coming in two versions, the V85 TT is priced at RM87,888 for the base model, while the Evocative Graphics version retails at RM89,888.

However, for a limited number of units during this launch period, the V85 TT is available for purchase at an introductory price of RM79,888. All prices exclude road tax, insurance and registration.

The V85 TT is a new direction for Moto Guzzi, taking the traditional transverse V-twin used in Guzzis and creating an all-new unit for adventure touring duties. Displacing 853 cc, the V85 TT mill produces 80 hp at 7,750 rpm and 80 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm.

Helping the V85 TT achieve these numbers is the use of titanium intake valves, a 30% lighter crankshaft and dual oil pumps which give Guzzi’s adventure tourer a much flatter torque curve. Fuel is carried in a 23-litre tank which Guzzi says is good for 400 km of travel.

A full-colour TFT-LCD inside the cockpit supplies all the necessary information and there are three ride modes – Road and Rain with Off-Road mode which switches off ABS at the rear wheel and greater engine braking accessible through the menu.

Seat height on the V85 TT is 830 mm while wet weight, ready to go, is 229 kg. There are five colour options for the V85 TT – urban in Grigio Atacama, Blu Atlante and Rosso Vulcano with Metzeler Tourance tyres and evocative in Giallo Sahara and Rosso Kalahari with red frame and Michelin Anakee rubber.
