The #TetrisChallenge is among the latest to be trending on social media, and Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has taken part with its own rendition featuring the Triton – the aerial view giving a nice example of what the pick-up truck can be used for.
Good for tradespeople, adventure seekers and creative minds alike, as the laid out equipment suggests, the Triton here also appears to sport some new decals in this photo. A check on the brand’s website revealed that the top Adventure X variant has been updated with a new feature set.
In addition to the new exterior stickers, the range-topper gets a “flying” sports bar, digital video recorder, all-round monitor (ARM) and a new audio system which continues to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Also remaining in place for the Adventure X are leatherette seat upholstery, powered driver’s seat adjustment, paddle shifters, bi-LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs and automatic wipers.
This is also in addition to the current Adventure X safety kit list comprising Forward Collision Mitigation (AEB for vehicles and pedestrians), Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System (front and rear), Auto High Beam, Front passenger seatbelt reminder, front and rear parking sensors and seven airbags.
Powertrain for the top Adventure X remains the same, with a 2.4 litre MIVEC VGT turbodiesel sending 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque through a six-speed automatic and Super Select 4WD-II system. Pricing on the Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia website for the revised Triton Adventure X is listed at RM137,900 for Peninsular Malaysia. The Adventure X is available in two exterior colours – Jet Black Mica and White Diamond.
