2020 Honda Jazz – first teaser image of next-gen hatch

Honda has released the first teaser image of its all-new 2020 Jazz, which will be making its world debut at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month.

The side profile view of the B-segment hatch reveals what spyshots have previously suggested, that the fourth-generation Jazz (or Fit, as it’s known in its domestic market) will have a softer, more-rounded disposition. As shown by a curvier front end, the overall styling moves away from the edgier lines of the current third-gen GK and back to that offered in the first two generations.

No technical details beyond that already intimated, that the hybrid version will feature the long-rumoured smaller version of the automaker’s dual-motor i-MMD powertrain, which will replace the Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive (i-DCD).

Without the outgoing seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, Honda says that the new system will be even more compact. Europe will only sell the hybrid version, but other markets will feature the usual range of petrol engines aside from the hybrid.

The automaker says that the new Jazz, which will retain the centre-mounted fuel tank and fold-up Ultra Seats, promises to raise the bar in terms of comfort and driver enjoyment. We’ll have the entire lowdown on the new Jazz when it premieres sometime next week.

If the price is around RM80k-RM90K stop dreaming to get a higher market share. It is no more Japanese cars monopoly Malaysia’s market share.

With that price, we able to buy new Proton X50 or Myvi. Myvi currently improved tremendously in term of safety features. Yes I know Proton X50 is different segment but Malaysian always look at value for money

Yeah but the Fit doesn’t just sell here. It is the segment top pick in almost every country it is sold. No one does the B hatch better than the Fit.

Here, Honda Malaysia skimps on equipment because buyers dont put emphasis on it. So, it is a good thing that our local boys to push for safety gear for the Myvi and x50. Raise the bar for everyone else.

At this point, it’s silly to buy a new car without a full complement of airbags and some form of AEB.

Yes, Myvi is same car segment as per Jazz. From current spec. Lineup Myvi does better with the ASA safety technology at a cheaper rate. Honda Jazz only reign with the brand name and hybrid model which Perodua does not have yet.
