PLUS has announced that a series of road diversions will be implemented along the Kulai–Sedenak stretch of the North-South expressway (NSE) from October 27 to 30 to facilitate the installation of bridge beams on the route. This is part of the lane widening project from Yong Peng to Senai northbound.
The road diversion involves two locations, namely KM34.20 to KM36.20 southbound and KM32.50 to KM34.50 northbound, between 10 pm and 5 am daily throughout the specified period. During these hours, vehicles will be diverted to the rightmost lane to create a safe work zone while minimising traffic disruption to highway users.
The highway concessionaire advised highway users to plan their journeys accordingly and use the PLUS app to obtain the latest traffic updates. Users are also reminded to adhere to all signage and instructions issued by PLUS personnel when passing through the construction areas.
The first phase of the additional lane construction project consists of two packages, namely Package A (Sedenak-Kulai) and Package B (Kulai-Senai Utara), covering a distance of 22 km. Work on the project is expected to be completed by January 2028.

22km need 2 year plus to complete?
finally after 30 years they finally decided to widen the 2-lane stretch. but its still quite dark, i guess we can look forward to street lights around year 2030ish
KL-ipoh should be 6 lanes already 20 years ago.
And changkat jering to Juru and sg petani to sg dua.
WCE when its completed cannot match toll on NSE as it is highly subsidised. Nor can any newly completed highway match those built decades ago.
WCE main advantage is close proximity to port klang so it allow truckers to easily move north and south, correct me if wrong
