Honda Malaysia (HM) has unveiled the CR-V Dual-Tone Edition, a 300-unit special edition to commemorate the company’s 25th anniversary in Malaysia.
The extra tone comes in the form of a black roof, with the dark colour extending to the side pillars and wing mirrors. Two primary body colour options are available – Ignite Red Metallic and the Platinum White Pearl you see above. HM says that this is the first time ever that the CR-V is offered in two-tone.
The Dual-Tone Edition is paired to the E and V variants of the CR-V (1.5T with 193 PS/243 Nm), and with unchanged pricing, it’s yours for RM169,900 for the E and RM181,900 for the V, on-the-road without insurance.
The CR-V has been a significant model for HM throughout its 25 years in our market. In 2003, the CR-V became the first model to be locally assembled at HM’s Melaka plant. Since then, close to 149,000 units have been sold. The handsome current sixth-generation model was launched in late-2023 and HM has since sold over 11,300 units. Last year, the CR-V held a commanding 36% share of the mid-size SUV segment.

Last brand to do a 2-tone.. also means no new CR-V in sight
So few on the road. Please go the Accord way.
If only RAV4 can be CKD here, sure got good competitor
If Toyota invest,
The TNGA Innova Zenix 2.0HEV indonesia now starts from RM 118k, 473mil IDR.
if TYT ready to be Game changer,
Could provide the promised new ultra compact lower CG 1.5H-EV and 2.0H-EV super hybrid.
But now they provide non TNGA-F for 2026 Land cruiser FJ and Hilux without new engine. Honda can enjoy thier slow steps facing Toyota for now.
Embarrassing! The anniversary exclusive, just a dual tone? I can do it myself outside, why not change the interior abit to wooden material or upgrade speakers or upgrade bodykit and there are many more things to think of… This is just pure laziness.
typical drbhicom way of doing work
“Honda Msia sold 11,300 6th gen CRVs since late 2023.” Surely only small % are eHEV variants.
Meanwhile, O&J reached 20,000th vehicle in Malaysia, just 14 months after making its market debut with the Jaecoo J7 in July 2024 (with J7 series making bulk of the sales).
That says a lot abt how much CRV’s marlet share is eaten up by the Chinese. Not to mention the Haval H6 hybrid, Tiggo7 CSH, and upcoming eMas7 PHEV.
To be attractice, eHEVs should be made standard considering the new upcoming govt HEV ckd tax incentives (that replaces MITi’s opaque ILP scheme) .
Cheap gimmick. New RAV4 launched in Oz is a reskinning job using old engine. Nothing new from Nippon land nowadays. A far cry from the heady 90s when Japan autos blazed a trail of innovation.
this is hard to swallow for some haters, but accept it or not, china brands are going to rule the future.
I don’t think they’re haters, but have been fans of Japanese brands but now have to accept the fact that market players don’t last forever and the shift is now changing to the Chinese brands which has attractive looks, tech and price.
But quality remains the final frontier for them since costing is kept at a minimum. Chinese brand car owners will soon realise this over the next few years of ownership.
