The Aion ES is a C-segment electric sedan for buyers who want a conventional three-box body with EV running costs rather than an SUV. In Malaysia, the Mk1 Aion ES is sold as a single EV variant priced at RM 106,800, with five seats, a 55.2 kWh battery and a claimed 442 km range.

The Aion ES carries on into 2026 unchanged as a single-variant electric sedan. The current Malaysian range consists of the EV only, with a 55.2 kWh battery, 442 km range and 136 hp. The main 2026 development is outside the showroom spec sheet: the Aion ES has been selected alongside the Aion Y and Aion V for Grab and GAC’s planned Southeast Asian EV deployment.

The Aion ES keeps the brief simple: one electric sedan variant, one battery size and a clear RM 106,800 price. Its 442 km range figure gives it a usable headline number, while the 136 hp output points to sensible rather than rapid performance. The C-segment sedan market has been squeezed by SUVs and larger B-segment cars, so the ES is for buyers who still want a sedan shape and are ready to go electric.
