Overview
The Honda Civic FE facelift is a five-seat C-segment sedan for drivers who want a choice of turbo-petrol or petrol-hybrid power in a conventional front-wheel-drive format. Launched in 2025, it spans four variants, from RM133,900, with CVT petrol models and a single-ratio hybrid at the top.
Civic in 2026 — what's new
The FE facelift carries into 2026 unchanged in Malaysia. The range remains the 1.5 E, 1.5 V and 1.5 RS Turbo, each using a 1.5-litre 180 hp petrol engine, CVT and front-wheel drive, plus the 2.0 RS e:HEV. The hybrid uses a 1,993 cc petrol-hybrid system rated at 322 hp, front-wheel drive and a single-ratio automatic.
Which variant to buy
The 1.5 E at RM133,900 is the sensible starting point for most buyers: it has the same 1,498 cc, 180 hp turbo-petrol engine, CVT and front-wheel drive layout as the 1.5 V at RM144,900 and 1.5 RS Turbo at RM149,900. The RM11,000 jump to the V is trim money on paper, so check the equipment list before committing. Pay RM167,900 for the 2.0 RS e:HEV if the 322 hp petrol-hybrid drivetrain is the reason you are buying a Civic.
Verdict
The Civic gives buyers a clear choice between three mechanically similar 180 hp turbo-petrol sedans and a more powerful 322 hp hybrid. Its entry point costs more than the Proton S70, BYD Seal 6, Aion ES and Mazda 3 Sedan, though it starts below the Toyota Corolla and Peugeot 408. The E makes the strongest case if the standard equipment meets your needs; the e:HEV is for buyers specifically after hybrid power.
