Overview
Launched in 2025, the BYD Seal 6 is a C-segment electric sedan for buyers who want a long, five-seat body and a claimed 410 km of range without moving into the higher-priced EV sedan bracket. It starts from RM100,000 and comes in Dynamic and Premium forms, both with a 56.64 kWh battery.
The Malaysian BYD Seal 6 carries into 2026 as the 2025-launched Mk1, with Dynamic and Premium variants continuing to use a 56.64 kWh battery and quote 410 km of range. The Malaysian update is the addition of Sage Green paint. Thailand receives a separate Standard entry model with a 46 kWh battery and 410 km NEDC range; that is not part of the Malaysian range.

Which variant to buy
Most buyers should choose the RM100,000 Dynamic. It keeps the same 56.64 kWh battery, 410 km claimed range, five-seat layout and single-ratio automatic transmission as the Premium. The RM15,800 gap buys 86 hp more: 215 hp rather than 129 hp. Pay for the RM115,800 Premium if the extra motor output matters to you; on the stated core specifications, it does not buy more battery capacity or range.

The Seal 6 has a clear physical advantage for an EV sedan at this end of the market: at 4,720 mm long, it is nearly 40 mm longer than a Honda Civic, yet the Dynamic starts below the RM106,800 Aion ES. Both variants share a useful claimed 410 km range. The Premium’s extra output is meaningful, but its price rises above the Aion’s entry point without gaining additional range.

The BYD Seal 6 costs RM100,000 for the Dynamic and RM115,800 for the Premium. A limited Ivory Gold Premium was offered at RM116,500.
Choose the Dynamic for the same 56.64 kWh battery and 410 km claimed range at the lower price. Choose the Premium only if its 215 hp motor output matters; the Dynamic has 129 hp.
Both Malaysian variants quote 410 km of range and use a 56.64 kWh battery. The figure is shared by Dynamic and Premium, despite their different motor outputs.
Sage Green joins the Malaysian colour palette. The Malaysian range otherwise continues with Dynamic and Premium variants; Thailand’s 46 kWh Seal 6 Standard is a separate-market model.
