Overview
The BYD Seal 6 is a C-segment electric sedan for buyers who want a long, conventional three-box EV rather than an SUV. Launched in 2025, it measures 4,720 mm long and starts from RM100,000. Its two versions share a 56.64 kWh battery and a claimed 410 km range, but deliver markedly different power outputs.
For 2026, the Malaysian BYD Seal 6 gains Sage Green as an exterior paint colour. There is no indicated Malaysian mechanical revision, so the range continues with the Dynamic and Premium. Both use the 56.64 kWh battery, single-speed automatic transmission and five-seat layout; the distinction remains output, with 129 hp in the Dynamic and 215 hp in the Premium. Overseas Seal 6 developments, including a Thai Standard and the Qin Max-based Plus, do not form part of the Malaysian range.

Which variant to buy
Most buyers should take the RM100,000 Dynamic. It retains the same 56.64 kWh battery, claimed 410 km range, single-speed automatic transmission and five seats as the RM115,800 Premium, while undercutting the Aion ES’s RM106,800 starting price. Pay the RM15,800 more for the Premium only if the jump from 129 hp to 215 hp matters to you. On the stated specifications, the extra spend buys power rather than extra battery capacity or range.

The Seal 6 fills a useful gap as Malaysia’s first electric C-segment sedan. At 4,720 mm long, it is nearly 40 mm longer than a Honda Civic and only 80 mm shorter than the larger BYD Seal, yet the Dynamic starts below the Aion ES. The shared 410 km claimed range keeps the entry model credible; the Premium is chiefly for drivers who want 215 hp.
