For 2026, the Tiggo 7 carries on unchanged in Malaysia. The current range remains the single Tiggo 7 PHEV launched for Malaysia, with a 1.5T petrol hybrid set-up, 90 km electric range and 1,200 km combined range. Its safety file now includes a five-star ASEAN NCAP rating under the 2021-2025 protocol; a 2026 composite crash test also involved a Tiggo 7.

The Tiggo 7’s case rests on its plug-in hybrid format, 90 km EV range, 1,200 km combined range and five-star ASEAN NCAP result. It is not the cheapest C-segment SUV here: the Proton eMas 7, Proton X70, Jetour Dashing, Mazda CX-30 and Kia Sportage all start lower. The MG HS starts RM100 higher. Buy it for the PHEV package, not because it undercuts the field.
