Sportage in 2026 — what's new
For 2026, the locally assembled Sportage carries on as a four-variant range under Kia Sales Malaysia. The line-up retains the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine in the 2.0G 2WD and 2.0G High 2WD, plus the 1.6-litre turbo petrol in the 1.6T High 2WD and 1.6T High AWD. A five-year Kia Maintenance Plan is available from RM2,980.

Most buyers should start with the RM128,800 2.0G 2WD: it has the same 154 hp 2.0-litre petrol engine, front-wheel drive and five-seat layout as the RM138,800 2.0G High 2WD. On paper, the RM10,000 step is for trim rather than a mechanical change, so check the equipment list closely. Pay RM158,800 for the 1.6T High 2WD if the 177 hp turbo engine matters.
