Sportage in 2026 — what's new
For 2026, the Sportage range continues with four locally assembled petrol variants: 2.0G 2WD, 2.0G High 2WD, 1.6T High 2WD and 1.6T High AWD. Kia Sales Malaysia begins operations in 2026 and announces revised Kia pricing, while a Sportage facelift is teased for Malaysia with a 1.6T hybrid. A five-year Kia Maintenance Plan is also available for the Sportage from RM2,980.
Which variant to buy
The 2.0G 2WD at RM128,800 is the sensible entry point for most buyers: it has the same 154 hp 2.0-litre petrol engine, front-wheel drive and five-seat layout as the 2.0G High 2WD. The RM10,000 step to the High trim needs a close equipment-list check. The 177 hp 1.6T High 2WD costs RM158,800, while the 1.6T High AWD is RM178,800. Choose the turbo only if the extra 23 hp matters enough to justify the jump.
