Overview
The second-generation Lexus NX is a five-seat compact executive SUV for buyers who want an all-wheel-drive Lexus with either petrol-hybrid or turbo-petrol power. Launched in 2022, the Malaysian range starts from RM395,888 and consists of the NX 350h Luxury and NX 350 F Sport, both with automatic transmission and AWD.
NX in 2026 — what's new
The Lexus NX carries into 2026 unchanged. The current Malaysian line-up pairs the NX 350h Luxury’s 2,487 cc petrol-hybrid system with the NX 350 F Sport’s 2,393 cc petrol engine. The 350h Luxury joined the local range in 2025, bringing a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre hybrid and two-motor AWD. Both current versions retain five seats, automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Which variant to buy
Most buyers should choose the RM395,888 NX 350h Luxury. It is RM20,000 cheaper than the RM415,888 NX 350 F Sport, yet its published output is 317 hp against 275 hp for the petrol model. Pick the F Sport if the 2.4-litre turbo engine’s 430 Nm torque figure is the priority; it is the only current NX choice with that engine. On paper, the price gap is chiefly a choice between hybrid and turbo-petrol power, so check the equipment list before paying more.

Verdict
The NX offers two distinct routes into the compact executive SUV class: a 317 hp petrol hybrid or a 275 hp turbo petrol, both with AWD and five seats. Its starting price is higher than the BMW iX3 at RM378,800, but below the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV at RM398,888 and BMW X4 at RM406,800. It also costs substantially more than the BYD Sealion 7, Zeekr 7X and Tesla Model Y. The hybrid is the stronger on-paper buy within the NX range.
