Eletre in 2026 — what's new
For 2026, the Eletre range is current rather than run-out: the Eletre 600 receives MY27 upgrades and stays at RM499,000. Malaysia’s line-up remains five-seat and fully electric, split between 603 hp Eletre 600 variants and 909 hp Eletre 900 variants. The separate Eletre X Hybrid/PHEV development has been revealed, but it is not part of the listed Malaysian EV range here.

Most buyers should start with the Eletre 600 at RM499,000. It has the same 112 kWh battery, 600 km range and 603 hp as the RM569,000 GT SE and RM649,000 Sport SE, so on paper you’re paying more for trim, not the core EV hardware. The RM769,000 Eletre 900 Sport is the performance jump, with 909 hp but 580 km range. The RM839,000 Sport Carbon is for buyers who specifically want that top trim.

The Eletre is Lotus in a very different shape: an ultra-premium, high-performance fully electric SUV rather than a raw lightweight sports car. That change will not please every purist, and the car is big by Lotus tradition. It is also expensive: at RM499,000 to RM839,000, it starts above the Jaguar I-Pace, Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and Volvo EX90. Buy it for the Lotus take on a fast luxury EV SUV, not for brand nostalgia alone.
