The X5 sits at the expensive end of the named executive SUV set here. It starts above the Lexus RX, Audi Q7, Denza B8, Volkswagen Touareg and Audi Q8 e-tron, and well above the Mazda CX-80. What it does give is a simple two-variant line-up with petrol hybrid and plug-in hybrid choices. If the price premium is acceptable, this is the current large BMW SUV before the 2027 G65 arrives.
