Convertible in 2026 — what's new
There is no 2026-specific update for the MINI Convertible. After its 2025 Malaysian launch and Malaysia Autoshow 2025 appearance, the car carries on into 2026 unchanged. The local range remains the F67 Cooper Convertible S, not an EV, with a 1,998 cc petrol engine making 204 hp and 300 Nm. The F67 generation itself debuted globally in 2024, is made in Oxford and has a roof that opens in 18 seconds.

The MINI Convertible is a niche buy, and that is the point. It gives you the current F67 MINI Cooper shape with an opening roof, four seats and a petrol drivetrain, not an electric motor. The trade-off is plain: one variant, no listed EV version for Malaysia and no local JCW Convertible. Buy it for the roof-down MINI experience, not range breadth.
