In 2026, the Malaysian ZE1 Leaf range carries on unchanged with a single EV hatchback variant. Nissan has shown the third-generation 2026 Leaf as a very different SUV based on the Ariya, with up to 218 PS, a 604 km range and CCS2 charging, plus details such as a 0.25 drag coefficient and dimming panoramic glass roof. None of that changes the local ZE1 line-up here.

The ZE1 Leaf is an older-school EV by 2026, but its brief is clear. It is a conventional five-door, front-wheel-drive hatchback with stronger output and much longer range than the first Leaf sold here. The hard part is the price: at RM168,888, it sits near the Renault Zoe and far above several newer electric hatchbacks.
