Verdict

The Golf gives Malaysia a single, 148 hp petrol-hybrid C-segment hatchback configuration rather than a broad trim range. It costs more than the MG 4 from RM100,888, Mazda 3 Hatchback from RM119,620 and Nissan Leaf from RM168,888. The Golf GTI starts at RM244,012, putting the R-Line below the performance-focused Golf alternative. The R-Line’s price sits plainly above several same-class entry points.
