ASMA Design has a new bodykit out for the Mercedes Benz CLS coupe with a fishy theme. This is the ASMA Design CLS Shark. You can probably guess the theme for this bodykit by the name.
The fender has been modified to include a shark gill pattern. The front tyres are 10 x 20 inch ASMA rims wrapped with 255/30/ZR20 tyres. The rear 11.5 x 20 inch wheels are fitted with wider 295/25/ZR20 tyres.
ASMA has a new exhaust muffler fitted with angular tips. An ASMA badge is also fitted on the bootlid, in a very strange diagonal position. Hmm.
Other parts of the ASMA bodykit are a new front lip and a new radiator grille without any ASMA or Mercedes Benz badges. All it needs now is a shark fin shaped radio antenna to complete the shark look!
For those who don’t know much about the basic car’s specifications, the Mercedes Benz CLS500 coupe is equipped with a 5.0 litre V8 24 valve engine that makes 302 horsepower at 5600rpm. This engine is mated to a 7G-Tronic Mercedes Benz 7-speed automatic gearbox. A CLS350 model is also available, powered by a 3.5 litre V6 making 272 horsepower at 6000rpm. Though this car is huge, it’s strictly a 4 seater. The center console that runs between the driver and front passanger seats go all the way to the back.

Well, I guess Z4 owners can't solely claim to be the only aggressive fishes on the road now. (It was advertised as the "Land Shark", and the M series always had the gills.)

While the CLS certainly wont win beauty contests, It does look mighty unique and impressive! In the flesh its nothing like the pictures. Have you seen one on the road? WOWIE!!
But yea, this mod-job is hardly the best effort i've seen.. The extra skirting looks tacky and the rims are LAME.. Standard or AMG-kittted CLS looks much much better. And i think it intergrates pretty well into Merc's current crop of designs.. The new S-Class, M-Class, SLK-Class and CLS-Class showcases Merc's forward moving design language, eradicating its traditional 'dull-cars-for-old-people' look.

Paul posted the Brabus CLS here before. My say, this ASMA is so NOT Mercedes! The wheels are impressive as a BLING factor. But the 'fin'…aiyyoh! I guess they are tryin TOO hard to impress.

Yeah, I know that DAN. Maybe it suppose to give better air flow and maybe better cooling for the brakes too. But, like SEE FU puts it, eveybody is entitled to have their own opinion. And I don't feel the fins really blend with the design. Just plain awkward.
