Supercars in daily driving

Another Top Gear feature demonstrating why supercars belong in the track only and not in the streets. Navigating out of a carpark is an absolute nightmare, which is why jockey parking exists! Video is after the jump.

Haha! These cars are just not meant for the city, and gosh, the exit from the parking lot is SO narrow. I laughed a lot seeing them try get the cars out without damaging the front lip. It'd be even more hilarious to see them try maneuvre the car over bumps and potholes, which are abundant in Malaysia. I know though, that some drivers have their cars installed with hydraulics, so that they can raise the car's height above the ground when needed. Wonder if it's possible with these supercars though, considering the lack of space in it.

Somehow or rather, I think they purposely chose that particular carpark for it's exit. I'm sure they or the producers of Top Gear would have researched and surveyed the carparks to get the most riduculous one to feature purely for entertainment purposes.

But I'm sure sure tight car parks are also quite common in a space starved place like Paris where property is a premium, much like Hong Kong.

Very entertaining but I'm also sure a supercar owner would be more careful of where they park and to avoid. I know I would.

Finally, I believe some supercars have a button to raise the suspension in order to go through bumps and such. I know the Enzo has. Not sure about the others.

    Zulkifli gerak kereta guna air

    Oleh HAMDEN RAMLI

Rawang 22 Jan.

    Way off topic.

I do not think that they purposely chose that carpark for it's exit. I'm sure they didn't intend on destroying that absolutely scrumptious carbon fibre lip on that Zonda =)

The Enzo actually has a button to raise the nose in the event of clearing a speed bump.

Saw this on BBC channel some time ago.

Supercars are not meant for multi-storey car parks or basement carparks with narrow driveways, etc. ;p

phew… peaceful days… how enjoyable to read comments without spam!

one thing i'm sure is that, JC has no one single stand…

u see, once in the handling video paul showed us, he praised a sportscar's great handling on the road while driven fast and compare it with Kenari and Smart ForTwo.

now we see him maneuvering sportscars in tight tunnels and dangerous bumps in the city… where small cars like, again, kenari and smart ForTwos is the best choice.

surely we cant have our cake and eat it… i mean, we cant simply HAVE everything all in one package, does it?

i'm so dumbfounded, what is he trying to prove anyway? well, apart from the entertainment purpose, i dont think he qualifies as a true blue car reviewer anyway. just my personal opinion though…

by the way, someone might wana point out to me about savvy… good handling, high speed, yet small enough to maneuver around town… well, why not he ask JC to do sledgehammer test, explosive test, and the gantung 1-tonne test to prove its toughness,

while do that handling test to prove it's "tuned by lotus" tag, see whether it can live up to its claim or not… it's not unfair comparison anyway rite? a true-blue lotus sportscar against its smaller "lotus-tuned cousin"…

ah… but i don know when will that be eh? sure will be an interesting discussion if JC did that to a Savvy.
