Ford Focus-based SUV to arrive in 2008

small_focus_suv_left.jpgFord is developing a small SUV based on the Ford Focus C-MAX to go heads on against the likes of the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V. The Ford Focus C-MAX based SUV will be a 5-seater like it’s competitors, and will feature an all-wheel drive system. Thankfully it looks like it will be a proper SUV, unlike soft-roaders like the Hyundai Getz Cross.

This artist’s impression reminds me of the Mazda CX-7, one of the sleekest crossover SUVs around in my opinion. And we all know the connection between Ford and Mazda.

yep..true SUV all wheel drive.Looks like murano?…well, if one model concept success..ofcourse another competitor will follow. How about Savvy Cross Soft Roader….:-)

Assimo, Savvy is too small for even a mini SUV. I'd rather have the Lotus APX on the road than a mutated 4WD Savvy. LOL!

By the way, as I look at this picture, I get the same impression as when I look at the Volvo XC90 for the 1st time. Very macho and manly! And I would prefer this Ford than the Mazda CX-7. Mazda front looks funny to me.

Paul, if you could post bigger and more pictures, hehe….

So far the best I've seen is Mazda's SUV, the other one is Lambo's SUV.

Thats my point, everyone is making a murano this days.

Those who drive this kind of SUV are either too scared to drive normal cars, or too lazy too. Driving this kind of vehicle is a lot easier than normal sedan's.

Hehe… not a bad design… looks nice for me… What if Myvi Cross? haha… strange? or Vitz cross? hehe… anyway… this focus will arrive only at 2008… I think the design will still change some… hope they improve the looks but not worsen the looks of this vehicle… hehe…

Ford Focus C Max looks stunning. Front looks more of murano to me. Paul, cud u get the rear photos or at least the interior?. Any ideas on the powerhorse specification ? . By the way Hundai Getz Cross can't be classified as an SUV.

Don know whether Ford dare to bring in the SUV to Mal in future, since its sales has not been fantastic in recent years… :(
