TOKYO LIVE 2007: Suzuki Kizashi 2 Concept

The new Suzuki Kizashi 2 Concept (done up in white) shown at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show is an evolution of the Suzuki Kizashi Concept (this is the red-coloured car) shown at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show.

While the Kizashi had a 2.0 litre turbodiesel under the hood, very apt for its European motor show unveiling, the new Kizashi 2 concept uses a more Japanese-oriented 3.6 litre V6, the largest Suzuki has ever put in a car, mated to a six-speed auto.

Lets hope that Suzuki keeps the production version close to its concept – within reason of course. The Swift ended up very close to the concept, lets hope this one is as well.

FWIW, the Red Kizashi looks a lot better. The white one looks a bit too SUV’ish.

The tyre is relatively big, what is the size? But it fit nicely to the car look!

I’m really hoping the Kizashi 2 will be more than just eye candy, because there’s definitely great road-going possibilities on show here. And even if Suzuki decides to make the design honest for mass production(obviously), there will be many of us stashing money secretly into our Kizashi 2 fund until THE moment arrives…
