A sketch of what appears to be the four door Lamborghini set to be unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show has found itself onto the big wide internet right into the hands of curious automotive enthusiasts.

The sketch does not 100% match the teasers of the actual concept set to be revealed though – the rear tailpipes are different. This could be an early sketch, with the actual concept getting a revision to appear much more meaner in the metal.

The name Lamborghini Estoque has been confirmed to be correct and the Paris concept will be very close to the production “four-door coupe”. The car’s engine will be mounted at the front behind the front axle for better weight distribution and it will have permanent all-wheel drive.

It’s not my kind of pocket and it’s not my kind of car.
But I know someone who is waiting for Panamera (or Bananera, as I call it) to change his 911.
This car will be a step above porsche, at least with price, I think. maybe Audi has chosen Lamborghini for this car, because competition between Lambo and Porsche has more sense than Audi vs Porsche.
Porsche is a shareholder of VAG. Aren’t they going to buy it (rumors)? and then?
Aren’t we waiting for a BMW of this categroy, a sort of low X6, or not?
Only sales figures (and profits) will decide their future.

Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann has made it clear in the past that, since the Miura anniversary concept car from 2006, Lamborghini would never again show a concept car it could not build.
And Winkelmann has wanted to add a third model line to the firm’s range since he joined in 2005.

Autocar sources close to the project say that the new saloon has been designed to comply with crash regulations and pedestrian protection law.

Expect a version of Lamborghini’s V10 engine under the bonnet (it’s front-engined) rather than the more powerful V12 from the Murcielago. That engine is considered to be too unrefined for an ultra-expensive saloon.

Based on the sketches and the teasers, I’d choose this Lambo over the Panamera. Seeing those spyshot on the Panamera….this Lambo looks way better. Driveabililty wise? Yet to be known.
