Project Kahn Ssangyong Rexton R-Line

Ssangyong Rexton R-Line

You’ve seen the new Cosworth Range Rover Sports, now here’s something else by Azfal Kahn. Based on the Rexton 270 SPR, the Project Kahn Ssangyong Rexton R-Line features 22 inch Kahn Design RST alloy wheels, lowered springs, and a Kahn Design sports exhaust. On the interior you get a combination leather interior using black nappa leather and soft Alcantara, complete with red stitching. A rear spoiler is optional.

The equipment is the same as the 270 SPR, featuring automatic climate control, ESP stability control, active rollover protection, hill descent control, ABS brakes, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, front and side airbags, electric folding door mirrors and heated seats. The audio system has been removed as it seems their target customer market would most likely want to install their own insanely pimped up sound system – think of multiple subwoofers in specially designed enclosures at the rear.

The 2.7 liter turbodiesel engine under the hood puts out 186 PS and 402Nm of torque from 2,400rpm, mated to a Mercedes-Benz T-Tronic 5-speed auto. The Ssangyong Rexton R-Line comes with a 3-year warranty and 3 years European roadside assistance. Look after the jump for a few more shots of the R-Line Rexton.

The rims looks nice in its own right. Maybe it’s just me, but, they seem to be out of place. SUVs need a more macho looking rims. These rims are better suited on sports cars.

Kinda like having your house decorated in post-modernism style yet having English countryside curtains!

This is such a cool, cool, kick-ass look. This project was performed on the newly facelifted Rexton II. I have the pre-facelifted Rexton I and I’m loving those rims already.

I never thought the Rexton could look this good!
Then again don’t you think those low-profile tyres somewhat defeat the real purpose of this vehicle? (The same applies to those souped-up Range Rovers.) =P

u should see those rims on the hummers and escalades in those rap videos. spinners, chrome, 26″…

That’s exactly what I meant dude…haha I suppose it’s fair to say that SUVs with enormous chrome wheels are for posers…arguably this Rexton looks good but it’s just pointless, don’t you think? Maybe the lowered (presumably stiffened?) suspension and low-profile tyres could improve the handling to a certain extent, but what about the high centre of gravity? And this car won’t be of much use off-road, thanks to the road-focused tyres, lowered ride height, reduced suspension travel…blablabla…damn…I sound like a grumpy old man! Hahaha…don’t get me wrong though. I have nothing personal against this bling-bling SUV culture. My point is, something that looks good but doesn’t serve its real purpose is simply pointless. Would you buy a guitar that looks like a custom Les Paul but sounds like a Kapok? =)
