More photos of the new 4-door Porsche Panamera

A whole new batch of photos of the Porsche Panamera 4-door coupe have been unveiled. As mentioned before, the Panamera will be available with in the classic baseline 3.6 liter V6 engine as well as a 4.8 liter normally aspirated Panamera S and a 4.8 liter turbocharged Panamera Turbo. It will be available with either rear wheel drive or all-wheel drive, so expect models like a Panamera 4S too.

November 28, 2008 @ 8:10 am
It’s actually starting to grow on me.

It looks nice, love it. The kind of car for those who wants to have a Porsche sports car but with a family to think on as well… which is of course other than the Porsche SUV Cayenne.
November 28, 2008 @ 8:39 am
Yup, eventually people will get used to the look..
November 28, 2008 @ 9:10 am
I am still prefer the Cayenne….still saving up my money to own one …one day….

THIS CAR IS EVEN WORSE THAN THE PORSCHE 924
November 28, 2008 @ 10:02 am
Now can not fight with Nissan gtr, they start to sell family sedan…….
November 28, 2008 @ 10:39 am
this is definitely an innovative product as far as porsche is concerned..
It give me the feeling of “business class” by porsche.
I can imagine there will be people who’d want to seat 4 comfortably with luggage for a quick blast down the highway and up into the alps for a holiday in this.

Excellent proposition to Maserati Quattroporte S.
November 28, 2008 @ 11:36 am
Omigosh it’s beautiful!!! It looks better from certain angles, but gosh for a sedan it is drop-dead gorgeous…
It’s supposed to be the spiritual successor of the 924/944/928 series rite? Man those were lovely cars =)
November 28, 2008 @ 11:41 am
nice? to me, the side view is just too flabby. probably look better in dark colours to hide the huge amount of sheet metal.

I believe that, unless anyone is a hardcore Porsche fan, I would only buy a Porsche for its famous traditional sportcars line like the 911s or Boxster. Only a really hardcore fan would want their Porsche to be either four door or a SUV as there are plenty of options available for a sports four door or a perfomance SUV. However, knowing Porsche, their new four door would be come an genuine mainstream option for ppl in the market. The only thing is it takes a hardcore (or genuine) porsche fan to look pass the awkward looks.
“Does my bum look big?” ???

i’ve been a hard core porshe fan for some time. i even like the FR models and i love the new cayenne (especially the GTS as i had the cance to test drive it and the turbo recently) but this panamera really takes some getting used to.

I think the 989 concept from back in 1989 worked better than this, shame it got cancelled.

EVEN THE CLS LOOKS BETTER
—————————————————–
haha this is excellent for those who wanna upgrade their S500. but i feel it’ll look better than CLS once it gets onto the road due to wide body design.
November 28, 2008 @ 2:41 pm
it looks like wagon, maybe even worse.
November 28, 2008 @ 2:42 pm
it’ll drive better than a cls for sure but one needs to get past that look… but then, i think the looks will grow on the owner.
November 28, 2008 @ 3:24 pm
I will give it a pass. I will stick to the ‘traditional’ Porche 911s or the Boxter. Somewhere along the line, the Porche styling language is lost in the transition from 2 doors to 4 doors.
November 28, 2008 @ 4:32 pm
looks like a squashed cayenne.
November 28, 2008 @ 5:47 pm
Interior photos?

December 2, 2008 @ 10:54 pm
