A hot RS version of Audi’s sleek A5 coupe has been rumoured for long, and now we can confirm its existance and possible debut at next month’s Geneva show, thanks to these leaked brochure images.
Not much is known technically, but some parties have said that the RS5 will be powered by a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V8 with around 450bhp and 450 Nm.
From these images, we can see that the RS5’s redline is set at about 8200 rpm, so we’re looking at a high revving screamer here. Also gathered from the brochure is the lack of a manual option; Audi’s S-tronic auto transmission is pictured here. Options will include three types of front seats and four wheel designs. But no flat bottomed steering wheel?
This blog will be in Geneva to cover one of the main events in the motor show calendar, so stay tuned for live pictures and info, should the RS5 make a blazing debut in Switzerland. More images after the jump!

Awsome!!!!!
you know, if audi made these cars in large volumes like toyota vioses, it would become dirt cheap. lol. dreaming…….
drool~
i would love to drive one and tailgate a M3 haha
I'm glad Audi is sticking to a high revving normally aspirated screamer instead of going for a regular 6500rpm to 7000rpm turbocharged downsized engine.
wow, nice seat options!!!
agree with Paul, turbo is NOT everything…
I mean, by all means offer the baseline A5 with a 1.4 liter TSI… but the RS5 has to be something else! ;)
truly a beautiful car…
still waiting a5 coming to Malaysia….

Nope, you should say
i would love to drive one and let a M3 tailgate me hahahaha
Pros and cons to sticking with the large V8. Nice to hear the rev and the throttle control but the con is in the handling dept. A turboed V6 is lighter than the V8 and would give the chassis lower polar moment of inertia.
Still this RS5 looks stunning
this is what i would call a car.
brilliant! speechless!!
Nice…nice…
Nice car, but M3 will eat this for breakfast.
Fantastico! But the rear lamp look alike kia forte..
It would've been better if the RS5 comes with Twin Turbo and hits 500hp, 500Nm The more horses you pack, the better you sell.
never seen so many button in and around the gear console….!
i wish i have one…
A proper rival to the M3 Coupe, if only equipped with the manual tranny..
nice ass!
Superb!
I want black color!
Damn, it is hot!
Sweet!!!
man i love this car…. yeah why not make some baseline 1.4 liter TSI and make it affordable to more people?

nice! smoking!
Come on la, M3 eat this for breakfast? The current M3 can't even touch the OLD RS4 and C63 AMG….. I think it's more of ur personal taste Autik. 4.2 V8 mind… it's all the performance you'll ever need…. red on black seats does it for me everytime…. I'll buy this over the M3 ANY FRIGGIN DAY….. no car will ever be better built than an Audi.
very nice car,i realdy have 1…….
As a so called leader in motorsport, how championships that BMW won last year?
If it took Audi this long, then surely they've must have done some things right!
