Kia has released the first official design sketches of its next generation Picanto city car, which the company says has been designed to stand out from the crowd.

The new Picanto is penned by Kia’s European design team in Frankfurt, Germany, under the direction of Peter Schreyer.

The company says the design ‘exudes self confidence, solidity and maturity’; no other details are forthcoming, so we’ll have to wait closer to its official unveiling at next year’s Geneva International Motor Show in March for more info about the car.

nice exterior design. if KIA produce this new picanto same as polo car size would be great! what they going to do with the current rio? but one thing about kia, they produce great car design, but the is just the second hand value too low.In 2006 my dad bought new kia rio 1.4a hatchback CBU around 80k. Second hand value now 30-35k. Car maintenance/spare parts also costly.

      its not on KIA fault,

2nd hand value? malaysian mentality, korean = crap, but KIA actually doing great worldwide.

Sparepart? really hand this to Naza la, naza can produce locally, just produce locally la..

the two koreans distro must work something more to grab the malaysian, KIA = NAZA, HYUNDAI = SIME DARBY

Agree with you.. Mentality is tough to change..

Korean cars : Cheap and full of features
Japanese cars : Reliable and lasting technology
German cars: Engineering genius and luxury
    British cars: Luxury and exclusivity
Europe cars: Expensive and full of features
China cars: Cheap and… uhm, cheap materials.
Malaysian cars: We are metal makers only. What car?

At the end of the day, only Jap cars will have good second hand value..
