Peugeot 408 Turbo is the name, caught without disguise

We’ve seen spyshots of the Peugeot 408 before, with black tapes on the edges of the lamps and badges covered up. Now, here’s a fully naked rear shot of the upcoming C-segment sedan from Nasim, courtesy of reader Scott Ng. The snapper says he saw a truck loading up the Peugeots in Damansara Heights.

With this uncovered shot, we can confirm that the new sedan will be called 408 Turbo, as said on the badge. We also see the rear lamps for the first time, and they have the style of those on elder brother 508. Like that RM170k D-segment car, the central Lion badge has ‘Peugeot’ underlining it.

Garnishing includes a rear spoiler and a wrap around chrome strip on the bumper. The wheels are the same as those seen on the previously spied dark coloured unit. Click here to read more about the 408, and why it isn’t just a 308 hatchback with a boot.

any other turbo-based cars also famously consume lots of fuel.

the insult started from your end.

i was amused when you asked me to stfu as part of your answer of a simple question.

fyi, stfu is generally known to be an insulting remark.

trolling for the class route now, are we?

        cheers :)

I dont think the rear lamps are similar to that of 508. 508 and the new 308 Sedan have almost same rear lamps design, those on 408 are more similar to 207 Sedan’s but a tad uglier.
Somehow I prefer 308 Sedan to this.

a few suggestions said that the price will be higher than 308 turbo i.e. >RM119K.
but so far, there’s little info on that.
perhaps due to not-so-much hype / attention given to it.

anyway, with all these pictures popping around the Net, the launching must be near. we’ll know the price by then. no hurry.

We all know where this is going to lead and it’s gonna get real messy. Dude, put the bloody tape back on!

Do we need to talk in sign language for them to understand. Yeah them property developers who think they have every right to bastardize a Pug. Yeah those looney expats will learn what all expats have learned; those who suck your bawls aint worth paying attention to! You’d think that if they stayed in the same community that they’d actually talk to one another and share experiences?

This = bad. Prince engine + 407 chassis = good. Prince engine + 407 coupe = hell yeah!
