Land Rover Malaysia has relocated its flagship 3S centre from Section 13 to a swanky new outlet in Jalan 219, Petaling Jaya. The move to the new 44,000 sq ft facility, which is situated along the Federal Highway, is expected to significantly enhance the brand’s visibility and market presence.
The RM2.5 million facility is equipped with a spacious showroom able to accommodate the complete range of Land Rover/Range Rover products. Six models are set to be on permanent display, with a clear demarcation of the Range Rover and Land Rover lines.
The Defender, the Freelander and the Discovery are set to highlight the Land Rover side of things, while the Range Rover, the Range Rover Sport and the Evoque will handle the Range Rover part of the equation.
Meanwhile, new vehicles will be delivered in a new purpose-built vehicle delivery bay, and the comprehensively-equipped service centre at the back of the centre has 15 work bays with hoists.
In an effort to provide a more premium, personalised service to its customers, LRM has introduced a “Service While You Sleep” amenity, which enables owners to come in after work and leave their vehicles overnight for routine service and collect them the next morning.
The opening of the new facility is timely, what with the new Evoque generating a new wave of customer interest – according to LRM’s managing director, Mohd Hazem Abd Rahman, the company has received approximately 1,000 orders for the SUV since the model’s eye-catching pre-launch campaign, which began in May last year.
