The wraps have come off the eye-catching Volkswagen Design Vision GTI at the ongoing Wörthersee event in the Austrian city of Reifnitz.
With an outrageous 503 PS and 560 Nm of torque from its 3.0 litre twin-turbo V6, the Mk7 Golf GTI-based concept does the century sprint in just under four seconds, en route towards a 300 km/h top speed, with the aid of AWD and DSG.
“We wanted to bring out the design elements of the GTI as concisely, dynamically and emotionally as we could so as to get to the heart of the fascination that this car emanates,” said VW design head Klaus Bischoff.

wah, this is KICK ASS…
OMG!!! DSG!!!
EDGY.
The look is ok in a few angles, specially from far.
pros and cons…
pros: its a 500bhp 2-door golf… could be the same price as a bimmer…
cons: its a golf with the price of a bimmer…
but, it looks good~
Yes, probably the price is higher than 3 series and Golf R. VW is shifting its status to a premium brand which i’m not sure a good thing or a bad thing?
I kinda think the same as you do. Hopefully it’s a good thing because it’s a hot hatch.
I kinda think the same as you do. Hopefully it’s a good thing because it is beautiful and I hope I can get a hand on that beauty.
nice. rear side looks like audi R8..
DSG again…? Hmmm…

OMG….awesome. Dont try to deny this is one great design by keep on bringing up the DSG issues….not relevant
Proton Preve better!

Vosprung Durch Übermacht
Although it could expensive than 3 series, however bmw still the premium brand than vw… Good try vw…
Everybody know that… keep ur BMW thx. VW for life oh yea!
The front bumper look ugly..too bulky. Only powerful engine…Not so great..
hmm… audi tt price..then its good…
0-100 in 4 seconds… wow…
Looks like its gonna get AWD. But with the engine being transverse, it might be front biased system with Haldex diff ala the Audi RS3 (not sure if the Golf R32 previously also had this setup). But do hope that Haldex (or whoever makes the diff) at least gives it 50/50% between front & rear axles to make it neutral. Otherwise, if current application of Haldex goes (which is very front heavy), handling is gonna be under-steery with so much torque available.
