As the Hari Raya Aidilfitri season comes ever closer (and with it, the yearly balik kampung rush), Puspakom is offering free Voluntary Vehicle Inspection (VVI) for the first 5,000 customers from now until July 15.

“The poor condition of vehicles on the road is one of the factors behind accidents, and we hope more owners take advantage of this opportunity to ensure their vehicles are safe to drive when returning to their hometowns to celebrate the festivities with their families,” said CEO Mohammed Shukor Ismail.

“I hope that through this free individual vehicle inspection campaign, Puspakom will be able to heighten the awareness of the public towards the importance in ensuring the vehicle’s safety and help reduce accidents on the road,” he added.

PRESS RELEASE

Customers can receive their free inspections at all Puspakom centres nationwide except at Puspakom Shah Alam (which is specialised for heavy goods vehicles only). There are 25 checks in total, including those for emissions, side slip, above- and undercarriage, brakes, window visible light transmission (VLT), wheels and tyres as well as the exhaust system.

Bookings can be made in advance by calling the nearest Puspakom centre. For more information or to enquire about this programme, call Puspakom’s toll-free number at 1800-88-6927 or visit its website; you can get the full list of centres nationwide there, too.
