First photos of the upcoming mid-cycle facelift for the Mercedes-Benz SL roadster have surfaced on the internet. The SL facelift gets new headlamps that look inspired by the ones on the AMG GT as well as other updates such as a re-sculpted hood and new front grille.
The SL’s engine line-up should remain similiar to the pre-facelift – after all the SL 350 was already replaced by the new turbocharged SL 400 towards the end of the pre-facelift’s production cycle. Next up is the SL 500 powered by a 4.7 litre twin-turbo V8.
The range-toppers would of course be the V8- and V12-powered AMGs – the SL 63 powered by a 5.5 litre turbo V8 and the SL 65 powered by a 6.0 litre turbo V12.
