Factory condition McLaren F1 put up for sale by MSO

McLaren-F1-209

Here’s a rare opportunity. A McLaren F1 for sale. Put up by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), which continues to maintain and manage F1s globally, the McLaren F1 chassis #069 – one of the very last produced – is in factory condition and has less than 4,500 km covered from new. With only 64 roadcar examples built between 1993 and 1998, this is a collector’s dream.

In 1998, only six examples of the McLaren F1 were completed, and chassis #069 was the 60th model overall to be hand-built in Woking. The car is in Carbon Black, with a stealth finish to the 17-inch centre-locking magnesium wheels. The central driving seat is finished in black and contrasting red leather, with the dual passenger seats upholstered in Alcantara.

McLaren F1 chassis #069 is UK registered with all UK taxes paid. It comes with fitted luggage, a complete Facom titanium lightweight tool kit and Facom tool box, all books and literature, including the correct numbered LM Edition of the “Driving Ambition” McLaren F1 book and limited edition owner’s watch.

Designed by Gordon Murray and Peter Stevens, the McLaren F1 was developed and designed with a no compromise approach and Formula 1 expertise and tech. It was the first road car to feature a full carbon fibre chassis, and other signatures included a central driving position and an engine bay lined with gold.

Powered by a bespoke 6.1 litre V12 engine with 636 PS (from BMW M), the British supercar broke the record for fastest production roadcar with a top speed of 390.7 km/h. More than 20 years on, it’s still the fastest naturally-aspirated production road car ever built. An icon.

  • This, has been my all time dream sports car… even with all the current new crops of super cars in the market.
I had the opportunity to see 1 in real, is smaller then I anticipated. After seeing this, a lamborghini diablo looked very pedestrian.
