Ford Kuga Vignale – new luxury trim option available

Ford_GW2016-Kuga_04

This is the new Ford Kuga Vignale – the fourth Vignale model to be introduced by Ford after the Mondeo, S-MAX and Edge. It’s finished in a pearlescent-metallic Vignale Milano Grigio exterior colour with Cashmere leather interior trim.

Other Vignale cues include a signature hexagonal grille at the front. On the inside, there’s unique hexagonal-quilted Windsor leather featuring prominent tuxedo-style stitching for the seats and door interiors, offered in signature Cashmere colour. The upscale leather treatment also extends to the instrument panel.

Each Kuga Vignale model will be hand-finished by craftspeople at the Vignale Centre at Ford’s plant in Valencia, Spain. Laser and camera tech support the trained eye in examining every aspect of a Vignale from bodyshell and panel alignment to paint finish.

You don’t have to opt for the most powerful Kuga engine option to enjoy Vignale spec – engine options include a 150 PS 1.5 litre EcoBoost manual, a 182 PS 1.5 litre EcoBoost six-speed auto AWD, a 150 PS 2.0 litre TDCI manual AWD and a 180 PS 2.0 litre TDCI Powershift AWD.

Ford decided to develop a Vignale trim for the Kuga because the top of the line Titanium spec made up 70% of all Kuga sales, indicating a higher spec Vignale trim could be viable.

however posh also, still have to wait 3 months for parts. Even basic parts like bumper.

So, no point having luxury trim lah

nothing wrong, but its like giving your toyota vios nappa leather and a burmester hifi system, after a few years later, depreciation will kick in and your money is down the drain, and depreciation is much much worse in europe…whereby people are lucky to retain 30% of their cars original value after 3 years

People buying this kind of ‘higher specced’ versions don’t normally care about resale value.

  • Luxury trim on a mass market vehicle.

That’s like installing a jacuzzi in a low-cost flat. It just doesn’t make any sense.

Anyway, thumbs up to big boss for posting some articles on a Selangor public holiday.
