McLaren’s bespoke division MSO is at it again, with its latest creation recently making its debut at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille. This time, the company is using a 570GT as a base, and has coupled up with avant-garde fashion house, Jean-Paul Gaultier.
The result is the McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept, which is billed as “the first European example of the recently-launched McLaren 570GT to feature a bespoke specification.”
To crank up the opulence, MSO started with a Pacific Blue paintjob on the coupe’s exterior. The look is further enhanced with a gloss black finish on the side skirts, door inserts, and trim around the front and rear.
As for the interior, the standard 570GT’s satin finish for the carbon-fibre components have been replaced with a gloss lacquer finish instead. The MSO Defined option also extends the entire length of the car’s sills.
Aesthetic enhancements aside, MSO have also applied the same exhaust setup from its earlier Pebble Beach concept. The titanium exhaust system is 30% lighter than standard, and features heat shields that are finished in a golden titanium nitride tint. Yes, it’ll still naturally change colour to a blue/purple depending on heat levels.
