Peugeot has unveiled its facelifted 301 sedan, brandishing a new face and new equipment The car was first introduced in 2012 – designated for emerging markets, over 360,000 units have been sold.
Exterior changes concentrate on the front end, which features a new radiator grille and bonnet, and the lion logo has now been moved on to the assembly from its previous placement on the bonnet. New headlamps and a redesigned bumper go on, as do LED daytime running light strips. The rear lamps have also been revised, with the brand’s opaline three-claw design now featuring on the new units.
Interior changes include new trim, with a choice of light or dark colour schemes available, the latter based on a new fabric trim called Cran Adamantium. The new 301 also introduces a seven-inch capacitive touchscreen infotainment system into the equation. The system is equipped with Mirror Screen triple play connectivity (MirrorLink, Android Auto, Apple Carplay), a 3D TomTom navigation system and a reverse camera.
The dash panel has also been redone, with new air-conditioning controls making their way on, and the power window buttons are now located on the central console, placed on both sides of the gear lever.
Four engine options will be available for the car, two petrol and two diesel. The baseline gasoline unit is the 1.2L PureTech 82, which offers 82 hp at 5,750 rpm and 118 Nm at 2,750 rpm in the way of power output. Only one partnering gearbox for it, and that’s a five-speed manual.
The other petrol engine is a 1.6L VTi 115, with 115 hp at 6,050 rpm and 150 Nm at 4,000 rpm, with manual or six-speed EAT6 automatic tranmission options available. As for the oil burners, they are the 1.6L BlueHDi 100 and 1.6L HDi 92, both available only in five-speed manual form.
On the safety front, the 301 is equipped with front and side airbags, ABS, ESP, emergency brake assist (EBA) and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as well as Isofix mount points. The refreshed 310 – which is built at the Peugeot plant in Vigo, Spain – comes with seven exterior colour options, three of which are new (Artense Grey, Moka Grey and Deep Blue).

How I wish our New Saga will look/feel/drive like this Pug. Maybe after Peugeot “take over” P1. Just for the record, how many agree/like this 2 be the New Saga ?
If you’re willing to pay as much as you would for this pug, then it’s possible
Saga3 dun & wun have the unreliability of a Pug. That is a big huge plus for Saga3, according to bashers.
The focus should be on bankrupting and dismantling proton and removing it from the face of the planet. Enough is enough. This kind of thinking is dangerous.
Great looking car with ample safety features.
i still dont get why people say the current 308 is good looking car…
i just cant make myself to like the design…
Maybe you like proton juara??
Mr Naza, bring it to Malaysia!!
Stupid, soo stupid , a sedan that only have 82 hp..even first gen saga already have 91hp..wow, this car is so underpower for the base
Why? Base spec Golf Mk 7 has 86 hp (same with the Skoda Octavia, which is quite a bit bigger). Base spec Passat B8 has 125 hp, though for considerably more money you can get a 120 hp diesel. Ford Mondeo starts at 115. Common la. Only Malaysians are obsessed with hp, even though they don’t use them. I’m pretty certain I drove faster with my 75 hp C segment fastback than most Malaysians do with their twice as powerful cars.
wow so many underpowered cars, oh man so sad, why mat salleh so stupid
Mat Salleh not stupid. They make these cars for less developed countries , big market , poor people ….
that’s why the base VW not selling well, even bezza and saga also can tapau this stupid base golf
The 1.6L engined-Pug 301 looks pretty decent and could easily challenge the leading B-segments for supremacy (Toyota Vios, Honda City, Mazda 2 & VW Vento) in our local market..
