Honda offering free 32-point inspection for all vehicles

Those preparing to embark on their annual road trip back to their hometowns this Chinese New Year will be pleased to know that Honda Malaysia is holding its road safety campaign in collaboration with Petron, which will include a free 32-point inspection for all vehicles, irrespective of brand.

Inspectors will look at a number of vehicle parameters, including fluid levels, vehicle lighting and certain vehicular functions and components – the full list of inspection points is featured in the image above. Those who take part will receive free gifts from Honda and Petron, while stocks last – there are also exclusive goodies for Honda owners as well.

These inspections will take place at Petron stations in Bandar Baru Pasir Pekan in Kelantan and Kampung Melayu in Johor from January 19 to 21 and in Jalan Tengah in Penang, Subang Parade, Persiaran Bandar Utama and Jalan Bundusan, Sabah from January 20 to 22. There will also be inspections at Giant Stutong in Kuching from January 20 to 22.

This inspection is very Good for people especially ladies who do not have the time/knowledge to check their vehicles.

This is indeed a good collaboration between Petron & Honda who will inspect “ANY” vehicle & not necessary Honda some-more will receive free gifts from Honda & Petron.

Bravo & Kudos to Petron & Honda for willing to share their time & effort to promote save motoring in this festive season. Big Thank Q on behalf of all.

I know of many guys who don’t know how to check engine oil level, dont know what is transmission fluid, change brake pads after they hear it screeching, and view car service as the 6month trip to wait 2 hours and swipe their card to pay a bill for they-dontknowwhat at the dealer service centre. and a few ladies who know all of the above.

    • Just an extension of their airbag recall program. Nothing to be proud about.

Nice graphic, good reference to do it yourself weekly. One of the most tedious and overlooked checks – car lights. Basically if you check water levels, fluids (engine, atf, brake), tyre condition, belts, and battery condition – you’ll reduce breakdown risk by a lot. I think cars which breakdown during rush hours causing massive jams should be fined and licence revoked. Of course, exception for certain classics, disabled people, elderly, etc.

Only thing is, this is a static check. Car owners must do moving check as well – wheel alignment, steering accuracy, suspension condition.

I think all covered in the 32-points – anyone would add to the points?
