Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift dons the Night Package

Many Mercedes-Benz models have received the Night Package in the past, and now, the newly facelifted GLA is the latest to receive the visual enhancement package.

On the new GLA, the Night Package introduces side skirts, a rear diffuser and front spoiler lip, all finished in black. Additionally, there are a set of silver and black 18-inch wheels for the Night Package, as well as a set of black AMG 19-inch light-alloys.

In other areas, there are black aluminium roof rails, black side mirror caps and heavily tinted rear side windows. For now, the carmaker has yet to reveal pricing details for the package, which will likely be available for several variants.

First revealed at the Detroit Auto Show, the new GLA features a redesigned exterior that offers a lower drag coefficient of 0.28 from 0.29. The compact SUV also gains a new GLA 220 variant, offering 184 hp and 300 Nm.

Aside from the regular GLA variants, the Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 also debuted with a more powerful 2.0 litre turbo engine, which now produces 381 hp and 475 Nm of torque. Expect the new GLA range to arrive in Malaysia by the middle of 2017.
