Perodua ‘Muhibah di Jalan Raya’ campaign kicks off with 500 free inspections, unlocked by safety pledges

Perodua has officially announced the first giveback for its ‘Muhibah di Jalan Raya’ road safety campaign after receiving more than 500 pledges from the public.

According to Perodua, Muhibah di Jalan Raya is a long term road safety campaign that aims at promoting safer and friendlier road usage by encouraging users to upload their individual pledges as their commitment and contribution to road safety.

“We believe that one of the main cause of road accidents are due to driver’s attitude and we want to influence that attitude by promoting a community of online users who wants to see positive change on our roads,” Perodua president and CEO, Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said.

The campaign welcomes road users to pledge by uploading a picture or video of themselves with the “OK” sign on their Instagram and/or Facebook accounts with the hashtag #muhibahdijalanraya.

In return for the pledges, Perodua will give back to the community at large. The 500 pledges received from the public unlocked the first giveback from the carmaker, in which 500 Perodua customers will given free inspections at any of Perodua’s 182 service centres nationwide. On top of this, top 10 most creative posts each month will also receive gifts.

“As the Muhibah Di Jalan Raya campaign is a long term road safety campaign to reduce the accident rates in our country, we welcome the general public to help make this positive change by uploading their pledge to drive safe and courteous on the road, and also to spread the words to their friends and family members,” Aminar added.

Drivers attitude is one, if not one of the major factors. Perodua, if you guys are serious to reduce road fatalities.. be responsible by providing basic safety systems such as VSC and ABS standard on all your cars. Not many people out there are skilled or experienced to control their cars if such event occurs; skids, aquaplanning etc.

Yet… PROTON cars are the ones that comes with most safety features as standard compared to Perodua… I guess that’s why they don’t need too much safety campaign… cuz their cars are already safe… lol
