Renault will introduce a new crossover at this year’s Moscow Motor Show and has released the first teaser of the upcoming model. According to the French automaker, the yet-unnamed crossover will be a global C-segment model that will first be manufactured at its Moscow plant alongside the Kaptur.
“The new vehicle will be a real breakthrough for the Russian SUV-market, strengthening the leadership of Renault Russia in this promising, fast-growing segment. The launch of this global model will open a new chapter in the history of not only Renault Russia,” Renault said in a release.
Based on the teaser of the vehicle’s front, many of Renault’s latest design cues like the C-shaped LED daytime running lights, grille shape and slim headlamps will be present. The crossover is expected to be more dynamic in appearance, with a coupe-like exterior shape as previously reported.
There are also spyshots of a mysterious Renault model that fits the above-mentioned description, with our spies referring to it as a “coupe version of the Captur,” despite it looking relatively bigger than the B-segment SUV. The mule sighted is wearing quite a bit of camouflage and fake body panels to hide the sculpted bonnet and front end previewed by the teaser.
Following its debut in late August, other markets will likely get the global model, although it is not revealed where else production will take place.
