I’ve started a simple one page car jargon dictionary over here. Whatever’s listed there is all I can think of at the moment. If you have any more terms you could like added, please leave a comment. It’s a work in progress.

    Very good idea. I am getting confused. Also can make it colour coded or something like manufacturer specific as well.

    M/B 4-MATIC – Merz's version of AWD

    FWD – Front Wheel Drive

    RWD – Rear Wheel Drive

    AWD – All Wheel Drive

    FF – Front engine, front wheel drive

    FR – Front engine, rear wheel drive

    MR – Midship engine, rear wheel drive

    Honda Multimatic = Honda CVT = Continous Variable Transmission

    Toyota VVT-i = Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence

    Honda V-Tec = Variable Valve and Lift with Electronic Control

    Honda VTC = Variable Timing Control (same as Toyota's VVT-i)

    Honda i-VTEC = HONDA V-TEC + HONDA VTC-i (Variable Valve and Lift with Electronic Control and Intelligence (same with Toyota VVTL-i

    Here's my favourite jargon:

    FCV – Fuel Cell Vehicle

    NGV – Natural Gas Vehicle

    CNG – Compressed Natural Gas

    TDI – Turbo Diesel Intercooler

    POD – Palm Oil Diesel

    LPG – Liquefied Petroleum Gas

    LNG – Liquefied Natural Gas

    SVO – Straight Vegetable Oil

    DMFC – Direct Methanol Fuel Cell

    Mayb the last one not related to car yet, they only use it in mobile electronic device and still in research status.
