The model that we know as the Hyundai Accent has been updated in Korea and called the Hyundai Verna Transform, a naming scheme that seems to echo the Sonata facelift which was also called a Sonata Transform.
Most of the equipment and engines remain the same and the only other change from the exterior looks seem to be an Eco indicator on the instrumentation panel which lets you know when you are driving economically, a revised dash design and blue backlighting for the dashboard instead of green. Those stuff they put on the grille don’t really look too good on such a narrow grille.
While its sibling Kia’s cars are all very aesthetically pleasing now, it looks like Hyundai still has to work hard on establishing its own corporate design language. It went one direction with the i30 and i20 but everything suddenly changed with the Genesis, and then now we have this. Kia’s design language thanks to Peter Schreyer is very stable with its simple but sleek and dynamic-looking designs and the Schreyer grille identity.

Comments on the Hyundai Verna Transform primarily criticize its unconventional and unappealing design, comparing it to sea creatures, insects, and outdated models, and labeling it as a "design disaster" or "ugly." Many viewers express disappointment, stating the front grill and headlamps look awkward or outdated, and some prefer older versions of the Accent. Objectification of models is also evident, with comments noting the models' physical appearance overshadow the car's aesthetics. Despite the negative tone about the vehicle's appearance, some comments mention the models positively, and a few find the last two images more appealing. Overall, the sentiment is largely negative, focusing on the car’s looks rather than positive features or functionality.
