This is the special edition Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo, created to celebrate the 100th year of the legendary Monte Carlo Rally which happens this month. It also celebrates the brand’s 110th anniversary of participating in motorsports – yes, Skoda has been around that long!
The red Fabia is dressed up with black exterior trim on the wheel arches, roof, door mirror covers, radiator grill top, and even the 17 inch Trinity alloys. The headlamps are smoked to make them look sportier. On the inside, you can choose eitherall-black or combination red/black sport seats, a perforated leather steering wheel with red stitching, leather handbrake and gearstick gaiter with red stitching. There are also silver kick panels and steel pedals.
Skoda’s Rallye Monte Carlo entrant is the Skoda Fabia S2000, and their team did decently in 2010, finishing second, third and fifth (in class) with Hänninen, Vouilloz and Kopecký, respectively. Danny will be in Monte Carlo to cheer on our very own Proton Satria Neo S2000 rally cars, so expect some live coverage of the rally.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
is it same platform with the all new suzuki swift?
Skoda belongs to VW Group. So the closest relatives would be VW Polo and Audi A1.
Actually VW have shares in Suzuki as well RRD.
OK, they do have shares in Suzuki, but suzuki swift neither listed in A04 (PQ24) nor A05 (PQ25) VW platform for their supermini.
Is it a standard fabia underneath or a fabia vRS
front headlamps copied straight from c class mer, shouldn’t do it why can’t they do different ones?
they had this design before the c-class. so, perhaps you should be advising mercedes not to copy.
Wrong. Both cars were introduced at the Geneva Auto Show in 2007. Nobody copied.
Look like a granny want to go for a rally in her car. :-)
wah. this is car what i looking for..i like it!!! ahak..ahak. thanks skoda fabia monte carlo @@@@
100 years, still rebadge VW, so, i can see this is going to happen in P1.
makoi, skoda was an independent car company designing and building its own cars(very very bad cars) until VW took full ownership in the year 2000. VW owns skoda 100%. and you are dead wrong, they are not simply rebadged cars.
Rebadging and building a car from the same platform is totally different.
i like this car because i’m granny…
if proton does it sure ppl hantam kaw2…
skodia has been around for 110 years.do any1 care to compare with proton’s 25th year?
